We manage 4 acres of wildlife rich habitat in south Norfolk near the Broads.

The area is mainly old arable fields. It is surrounded by ancient hedgerows with some old oaks and ash. The ash shows features that they are former coppice stools, so they are probably a lot older than they look.

Along one hedgeline, there is a profusion of elm suckers, which unfortunately die after a few years (presumably from Dutch elm disease).

The grassland areas are grazed by our two pedigree Dexter cattle - Ebony and Eliza.

They do an excellent job at varying the sward. The range of plant species within the fields has increased since they arrived. So, they are forgiven for eating the hedges (and occasionally escaping).
